Peanut Butter Cup S’mores Cheese Ball

I cannot believe that summer is almost over and that school will be starting back up in a couple of weeks. My son starts kindergarten this school year, so the start of school is bittersweet for me.  I am excited for my son and to see all that he learns in kindergarten, at the same time I can’t believe how fast he has grown up.  He is getting really excited for school and was excited when we got the letter in the mail telling us his teacher.  At the same time I know that he likes being home with his dad and brother over the summer and that we all have enjoyed our time together this summer.
One of the big events that we had this summer was my brother’s wedding.  We were all in the wedding party and it was a great day.  For my sister in law’s bridal shower, I decided to make a dessert appetizer.  If you know anything about me, I love making dessert appetizers and this was a perfect opportunity to make one.  I decided to combine some of my sister in law’s favorites, peanut butter and s’mores, so peanut butter with chocolate, marshmallows, and graham crackers.
This Peanut Butter Cup S’mores Cheese Ball was absolutely amazing.  I loved that the dip combined peanut butter, chocolate and marshmallows.  There was also peanut butter cups included, which are my favorite candy.  The whole cheese ball is covered in graham cracker crumbs.  Now this is called a cheese ball, but the only cheese in it is cream cheese.  This makes a great dessert appetizer.
This cheese ball tasted so good! It was devoured at the bridal shower.  I really like all the s’mores flavors combined with the peanut butter.  They all tasted amazing together.  This is great served with vanilla wafers, pretzels, graham crackers, or fruit.  This is a must try!

Peanut Butter Cup S’mores Cheese Ball

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1/4 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1 cup peanut butter cups, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows, chopped
  • 1/2 cups crushed graham crackers
  • Graham crackers, Vanilla wafers, or fruit for dipping

  1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, peanut butter, and marshmallow fluff until combined.
  2. Then beat in the melted chocolate into the cream cheese mixture until smooth.
  3. Gently stir in the peanut butter cups and mini marshmallows until combined.
  4. Place the mixture on a large piece of plastic wrap. Bring up all the corners of the plastic wrap and wrap into a ball. Freeze the ball for about 1 1/2 hours or until it is firm enough to keep its shape.
  5. Place the graham cracker crumbs on a flat plate. Then roll the unwrapped cheese ball in the graham cracker crumbs. Make sure to press the crumbs into the cheese ball until it is fully covered.
  6. Place the ball on a serving dish, cover with plastic wrap and freeze the cheese ball for another 2 hours or overnight. If frozen overnight, thaw for 20-30 minutes before serving. Serve with Vanilla Wafers, graham crackers, fruit, or other cookies
