Thanksgiving is about a week away! Are you starting to get your Thanksgiving menu ready? We are going over to my parents house and I went over the menu with my mom. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays since it revolves around food. My favorite part of Thanksgiving is dessert. Dessert is very big in my family and we like to have a few different types of dessert. Usually with dessert we have some kind of hot drink or hot chocolate. This year I decided to make something with a little less calories than traditional hot chocolate and decided to make it pumpkin flavored for Thanksgiving.
I used Sweet’N Low® to sweeten up the drink instead of sugar. Sweet’N Low® is a zero calorie sweetener that helps you enjoy a sweet drink without all the extra calories. By substituting Sweet’N Low® for sugar it helps you to reduce calories in drink recipes. Plus it is diabetic friendly. I love the fact that I can have a sweet drink without all the extra calories.
I decided to make a pumpkin spice flavored hot chocolate. This would be perfect to have with Thanksgiving dessert or to warm up with in the fall or winter. The best part is that this hot chocolate is really easy to make. It can easily be made in a matter of minutes in the microwave and makes enough for 2 mugs full so you don’t have a bunch leftover.
This Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate is the perfect drink to pair up with your Thanksgiving dessert or for those colder winter months. I used Sweet’N Low® to lower the amount of calories in the drink while still getting the same sweet taste. This means I don’t have to feel bad about having it with other desserts at Thanksgiving.
I love how easy this hot chocolate is to make. It is made entirely in the microwave. This is easy and great for Thanksgiving because it doesn’t take a lot of time and you don’t have to dirty a lot of dishes or use the stove. Plus it makes just enough for 2 servings. If you want to make more you can just double the recipe. I really loved the taste of the pumpkin in the hot chocolate and can’t wait to make it again for Thanksgiving.
