Peanut Butter Cup Caramel Brownies

Halloween is coming up in about a week and a half.  My kids can’t wait to go trick or treating.  They are also looking forward to all the Halloween parties we have planned to go to.  They both have Halloween parties at school and they were invited to two additional Halloween parties.
Halloween is a holiday celebrated by those of all ages.  Did you know that 34 percent of people attend or throw Halloween parties?  One of my favorite parts of Halloween is the candy.  I love anything with chocolate in it and chocolate peanut butter is even better.  I am really partial to Hershey’s Chocolate.  I think that Hershey’s tastes great, especially the Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins.  I also live near Hershey, Pennsylvania where Hershey’s originates from.
Hershey helps families celebrate Halloween by sharing new and classic treats that can help transform any Halloween party from normal to paranormal.  Seasonal favorites from Hershey include chocolate assortment variety bags, Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins, Kit Kat® bars, and Cadbury Screme Eggs.
We have to bring something to all the Halloween parties that we are going to, so I decided to make something using Hershey’s Halloween candy. I made brownies that are stuffed with Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins and Rolos®. You could also use Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups if you don’t have the pumpkins on hand.  This is not only perfect for Halloween parties, it is a great way to use up any Halloween candy that you didn’t give out to trick or treaters.

The best part about these Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Caramel Brownies is that they can be decorated in so many ways for Halloween.  First, if you use the Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins, you can see the outline of the pumpkin from the piece of brownie.  I decorated mine using powdered sugar and then with the Hershey’s chocolates that are shaped like tombstones for a more festive look.  Here is a list of the different options for decorating your brownies:

– Powdered Sugar
– Tombstones.  Use Hershey’s tombstone shaped chocolates.  You could even add in RIP with frosting.
-Mummy: Use white frosting to add stripes and then add candy eyes or use frosting to add eyes
-Monsters: decorate with a fun colored frosting and add lots of candy eyes.
-Pumpkins : cut circle shapes and decorate with orange frosting
-Decorate with Halloween words, such as Boo or Trick or Treat
– Spiders: Use an upside down Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup as the body of the spider and use frosting to add legs.
– Frankenstein: Use green frosting to decorate Frankenstein then add his face using candy, frosting, or sprinkles.

My family loved these brownies and really liked how easy they are to make.  They start with a boxed brownie mix and then you just add in the Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins and Rolos®  into the middle of the batter.  They were so moist and I love the caramel and peanut butter cups in them.  I love how festive these can be and can’t wait to have my kids help me decorate them for a fun Halloween treat!
