Caramel Apple Pie Martini

This refreshing drink was created using Sweet ‘N Low® as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #donthesitaste
During the summer we like to have cookouts outside, especially during the weekends.  Most weekends we get together with our families and sometimes we will see friends.  On those summer evenings I like to have a cocktail to help wind down from the day and relax.
Often after dinner I usually like to have something sweet, so I like to make a sweet cocktail that tastes like a dessert.  I much rather have that cocktail without all of the calories associated with sugar.  I like to make my cocktails with  Sweet’N Low® to sweeten it up instead of sugar. Sweet’N Low® is a zero calorie sweetener that helps you enjoy a sweet drink without all the extra calories.  By substituting Sweet’N Low® for sugar it helps you to reduce calories in drink recipes.  Plus it is diabetic friendly.  I love the fact that I can have a sweet drink without all the extra calories.
This Caramel Apple Pie Martini is the perfect sweet drink for those hot summer nights.  This is also a great drink to transition into fall as well.  I used Sweet’N Low®  instead of sugar in making a simple syrup for the drink.  This helps to lower the amount of calories.  I always love the combination of apples and caramels and they taste fantastic together in this drink.  I used apple cider combined with caramel and apple flavored liquors to make a terrific drink.  You could also make this into a mocktail by adding extra apple cider, adding some extra caramel sauce, and leaving out the alcohol.  I hope you enjoy this delicious cocktail to help wind down after a long day.

Caramel Apple Pie Martini

  • 2 ounces apple cider
  • 1.5 ounces caramel flavored vodka (if you can't find it just add some extra caramel sauce into your drink)
  • 1 ounce apple flavored schnapps or vodka
  • .5 ounces lemon juice
  • 3 packets of Sweet’N Low®
  • 1/8 cup water
  • Ice
  • Caramel Sauce (optional)
  • Cinnamon (optional)
  • Apple Slice (optional garnish)

  1. Drizzle some caramel sauce on the inside of a martini glass
  2. To make the simple syrup, combine the Sweet’N Low® and water in a small saucepan.  Boil over high heat until the sugar is dissolved.  Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
  3. In a shaker combine the apple cider, caramel vodka, apple schnapps, lemon juice, and .5 ounces of simple syrup.  Add ice.  Shake to combine and pour the cocktail into the martini glass.  Add a pinch of cinnamon on top and garnish with an apple slice if desired.
  4. Makes 1 martini
