Blueberry Strawberry Spritzer

This refreshing drink was created using Sweet ‘N Low® as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #donthesitaste

For the 4th of July we always like to have a picnic or cookout.  I always like to make a festive drink that is perfect for cooling down on a hot summer day.  The problem is that I don’t want to drink all of my calories.  We usually have a lot of food, so I rather have a healthier drink.  Also the healthier the drink is the more refreshing it is in my opinion and the more it helps you to cool down.

I decided to make the perfect summer drink for the 4th of July without all of the excess calories.  I made a spritzer and used Sweet’N Low®  to sweeten it up.  Sweet’N Low® is a zero calorie sweetener that helps you enjoy a sweet drink without all the extra calories.  By substituting Sweet’N Low® for sugar it helps you to reduce calories in drink recipes.  Plus it is diabetic friendly.  I love the fact that I can have a sweet drink without all the extra calories.

I decided to make a spritzer using blueberries and strawberries.  I love both blueberries and strawberries and also really like how the drink would be red, white, and blue, making it a perfect drink for the 4th.  I made the drink using lime flavored sparkling water and added lemon juice, blueberries, strawberries, and then Sweet’N Low® to add sweetness to the drink.
This Blueberry Strawberry Spritzer is really easy to make and is so refreshing.  I really loved the combination of the lime sparkling water with the lemon juice, blueberries, and strawberries.  The Sweet’N Low® adds a great sweetness to the drink without all the extra calories.  A great thing about the drink is also that when you run out of sparkling water, the fruit is still there and you can just refill, add some more Sweet’N Low®  and have the great same taste.

I used frozen strawberries because it was like adding more ice to the drink.  Feel free to use fresh blueberries or strawberries, frozen, or a combination of each.  These are so festive and perfect for the 4th of July.  Also the great thing is that the kids can have these drinks too.  These are the perfect drink for a hot day and we all enjoyed them.  I can’t wait to serve them again on the 4th of July!
