At my house we always like to watch all types of different sporting events.  Our favorite is football and we like to make food every Sunday to have while watching the games.  Now that football season is over that doesn’t mean that we will stop watching sports or making great appetizers.  I mean I don’t need much of an excuse to make appetizers.
The next big sporting event that we like to watch is the college basketball tournament.  My husband and I don’t really watch basketball any other time of the year, but we always like to make a bracket and we get really competitive with it.  It is always nice to have an appetizer to eat while watching the basketball games.
When we went to the beach last summer there was this little cafe near the house we were renting. We stopped there to get something to eat when we were waiting to get into the house.  We weren’t all that hungry so we decided to order an appetizer. We ended up ordering these delicious loaded fries that were loaded with cheese and bacon and then had both ranch dressing and barbecue sauce drizzled on the top.  They were so delicious and ever since we ate them I had wanted to recreate them.
I headed to Walmart and went to the frozen section to pick up some Alexia Smart Classics Crinkle Cut Fries and Alexia Sweet Potato Fries, which are both perfect for #GameTimeGrub.  I decided to use the Crinkle Cut Fries to make my loaded fries and we served the Sweet Potato Fries with cinnamon.  I thought that these fries were so good, I really like that the Alexia Crinkle Cut Fries are roasted and are 98% fat free.  They are flavored with sea salt.  I really loved the sweet potato fries with the cinnamon as well as with the loaded fries.  If you cook the bag and sprinkle 1 tablespoon of cinnamon on the sweet potato fries, they taste delicious.  I loved the combination of sweet and salty with the already added sea salt.

These delicious loaded fries would be great with either the Smart Classics Crinkle Cut Fries or the Sweet Potato Fries.  I thought that the fries would be perfect to eat while watching the basketball games in March or would be a great appetizer for any sporting event or party.  We ate them last weekend as an appetizer while watching soccer and plan on making them again to eat during the college basketball tournament.  They tasted just like I remember them tasting from the cafe at the beach and I am glad that I can recreate them at home using Alexia Fries.
These Barbecue and Ranch Loaded Fries were so delicious and are the perfect appetizer for any sporting event.  We made them with the Alexia Smart Classics Crinkle Cut Fries, but they would also taste great with the Alexia Sweet Potato Fries.  These fries are also really easy to make and start with the frozen Alexia fries.  They are then topped with cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and bacon and put back into the oven until the cheese melts.  They are then topped with both ranch dressing and barbecue sauce.
These are the ultimate loaded fries.  The combination of barbecue sauce and ranch seems like it wouldn’t go together, but it totally does and it really lends a lot of good flavor to these fries.  My whole family loved these and we will be making them again for the upcoming basketball tournament.  I hope you enjoy these delicious fries!
