Bacon Wrapped Honey Barbecue Chicken Tenders

I have another grilling recipe for you all today and this one is really easy.  There is not a lot of preparation either, which is always nice.  These chicken tenders would also go great for dinner or would be a good appetizer.  As I have stated before we like to grill outside year round, even when it is cold outside.  My husband and I both think that meat tastes better when it is grilled so sometimes during the winter, my husband will bundle up and grill.

Kraft Barbecue Sauce came out with a newly revamped line of barbecue sauces. I tried the original barbecue sauce a few weeks ago when I made Chicken Bacon Barbecue Burgers.  Even though it snowed here in Pennsylvania last week, over the weekend it was a little warmer, so we decided to grill.  We decided to try the Sweet Honey Barbecue Sauce and used them to make chicken tenders.

The new Kraft barbecue sauces feature high-quality ingredients, like tomatoes, sweet molasses, cider vinegar, and cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup.  They also feature a new package design.  The Kraft Barbecue Sauce is available in eight varieties, including: Original, Hickory Smoke, Sweet Honey, Mesquite Smoke, Sweet Brown Sugar, Sweet & Spicy, Spicy Honey, and Thick & Spicy.

As I stated in my earlier post, Kraft provided us with the new Evergriller Grill ‘N’ Flip Mitt.  This is mitt  is perfect for grilling enthusiasts.  It is great for grilling in the winter and other inclement weather, because it helps to keep your hand warm as you are grilling.  The Evergriller Grill ‘N’ Flip Mitt is a specially designed, fire-resistant grilling glove that protects the griller’s hands from both the heat of the grill and the chill of the outdoors during winter grilling season. The unique design of the top insert can hold many grill tools, making it easy to flip, stab, and baste with ease and precision.

I decided to make chicken tenders using the new Kraft Barbecue Sauce.  I wrapped the chicken tenders in bacon and then basted the whole tender and bacon in the Sweet Honey Barbecue Sauce.  We also basted the chicken with the barbecue sauce again while they were grilling.  My husband used the Evergriller Grill ‘N’ Flip Mitt for flipping the chicken and basting and it helped to keep his hand warm in the cold.

These Bacon Wrapped Honey Barbecue Chicken Tenders were so easy to make and were really delicious! I loved the taste that the Kraft Sweet Honey Barbecue Sauce gave to the chicken tenders.  I loved the combination of the sweetness of honey with the tangyness of barbecue sauce.  The chicken tenders were great wrapped in bacon and the barbecue sauce on top gave it all so much flavor.  We ate these chicken tenders for dinner, but they would also be great as an appetizer.  I hope you enjoy these delicious chicken tenders!

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to 400 degrees.
  2. Wrap a slice of bacon around each chicken tender.  Baste both sides of the chicken tender with 1/2 cup barbecue sauce.  Reserve the additional 1/4 cup of barbecue sauce for basting while grilling.

  1. My kids would polish these off in no time, and my hubby would be happy to head out in the cold to grill if they were on the menu!
