White Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake

My ultimate favorite dessert is cheesecake.  I don’t make cheesecake a lot because my husband is not a fan.  However, both of our families love cheesecake so I always make it for special occasions.  A lot of people think that cheesecake is hard to make, but it really isn’t.  My base recipe calls for 4 main ingredients, plus ingredients for a crust, then I add in additional ingredients depending on what flavor I make.  It really isn’t hard, it just takes about an hour to cook, believe me, if it was really hard there would be no way I would be making it.
For Thanksgiving I decided to make a cheesecake.  I thought that the combination of white chocolate and cherries would be great for the holidays.  This cheesecake was not hard to make, but it looked like it was made by a professional.  My husband’s relatives all thought that I purchased the cheesecake from a bakery.  They said that it tasted like it was from a bakery as well.
This White Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake tasted excellent and was loved by everyone that tried it.  The cheesecake is flavored by white chocolate and is topped with cherry pie filling.  Then white chocolate is drizzled on top of the pie filling. There is the great flavor combination of white chocolate and cherry in each bite.  I really loved the taste of the white chocolate cheesecake and it went great with the cherry pie filling.
This was honestly one of the best cheesecakes that I ever made.  I really thought that the white chocolate and cherry went perfectly together in the cheesecake.  I loved that everyone thought that the cheesecake looked like it was bought at a bakery.  This cheesecake would be perfect for the holidays or for any special occasion.  Please try this cheesecake, you won’t regret it!

White Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake

  • 9 Graham Crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • 1/4 cup additional white chocolate chips, melted (for optional drizzling)

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Take the crushed graham crackers and mix with the melted butter. Press the crust into the bottom of a 9 inch spring form pan lined with parchment paper or tin foil.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Gently beat in 1 cup of the melted white chocolate.  Then beat in the eggs and the vanilla.
  4. Pour the batter into the spring form pan on top of the crust. Bake the cheesecake for 50 minutes to 1 hour or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and allow to completely cool.
  5. When done cooling, add the cherry pie filling on top of the cheesecake. If desired, drizzle melted white chocolate on top of the pie filling.  Refrigerate until ready to serve.

  4. Thank you! I put your blog in my Google Reader list because of a math art related post you did a month or two ago. Mostly I skim through your posts, thinking "that is so coo&lquot;, but not taking any time with them. I love Van Gogh's work, and will enjoy coming back to this.
