Watermelon Peach Spritzer

I cannot believe that the 4th of July is already tomorrow, this summer is going so fast.  So is my pregnancy, I am already 28 weeks along and in my third trimester.  With it being summer and I being pregnant I wanted a nice non-alcoholic drink that I could enjoy.  I wanted something refreshing that would be great to have on a hot day.
I decided to use lemon-lime soda as the base for my drink and make a spritzer and add in fruit.  Lately I have been having cravings for watermelon.  Watermelon is so refreshing and is perfect to eat on a hot day, so I knew that I had to add it to my drink to add some great and refreshing flavor.  I also decided to add frozen peaches to give some great peach flavor and to make the drink colder.
This Watermelon Peach Spritzer is really easy to make and is so refreshing.  I really loved the combination of the lemon-lime soda with the watermelon and peaches.  A great thing about the drink is also that when you run out of soda, the fruit is still there and you can just refill with soda and have the same great taste.  My husband and I really loved these great drinks. I can’t wait to make some of these to enjoy for this weekend.

Watermelon Peach Spritzer

Watermelon Peach Spritzer

  • 1 bottle (2 liters) lemon-lime soda
  • Frozen sliced peaches
  • Watermelon, cubed
  • Ice cubes

  1. Put about 5 frozen peach slices in the bottom of each glass. Also add about 5 pieces of cubed watermelon to each glass as well.  The amount of fruit you can add will depend on your glass size.  I found about 5 peach slices and 5 watermelon cubes worked well for my glass sizes.
  2. To each glass also add 2 ice cubes.  Then fill up each glass with the lemon-lime soda.  Stir each glass to mix the fruit throughout the drink.  If desired, place a piece of watermelon on the rim of each glass.

  1. CHEERS! What a refreshing drink (and please don’t judge if I accidentally splash in a little rum at our next BBQ!)

  2. Big fan already! I supply items such as glass etching cream and stencils to crafters and wanted to see if you would test some of my products for free in exchange for feedback. Any interest? Shipping of the supplies will be free as well. Urgently, waiting for your reply. Thank you Eric
