Chicken Bacon Ranch Meatloaf

If you ever been here before you know that I love the flavors of chicken, bacon, and ranch.   They go so well together and I think they are my favorite savory flavor combination.  I had always loved chicken bacon and ranch sandwiches but I really got hooked on the flavors when I was in college and tried chicken bacon ranch pizza for the first time.  Even though the pizza was from the college cafeteria, it was still really good and I have been a huge fan ever since.
Now whenever I can, I try to make something flavored with chicken, bacon, ranch.  Awhile back I posted a recipe for Chicken Parmesan Meatloaf.  It was really good and is one of our favorites.  So, I thought to myself if I am already doing a chicken meatloaf, why don’t I flavor the meatloaf with ranch and add bacon and cheddar cheese, so the Chicken Bacon Ranch Meatloaf was born.
This Chicken Bacon Ranch Meatloaf was really good.  I loved the chicken bacon and ranch flavors combined with the meatloaf.  This is definitely a great variation on your traditional meatloaf.  The meatloaf is made with ground chicken and contains ranch dressing mix, bacon, and cheese to flavor it.  It is then topped with ranch dressing and more cheese.  This was a great meal that my whole family enjoyed.  I hope you enjoy it as well.

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 packet ranch dressing seasoning, powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl combine the ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, bacon, ranch seasoning, and 1/2 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.  Mix the mixture with your hands.  Place into a greased loaf pan and form the chicken mixture into a loaf shape.  Top the meatloaf with the ranch dressing.
  3. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until chicken is cooked.  When done remove and remove and add the additional 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.  Return the meatloaf to the oven until the cheese is melted.  Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Hey Alyssa, I made some strawberry smores last week and they turned out just the way you described on your post. Thanks for that recipe! Such a treat. Now, moving on, will try this chicken meatloaf. I may use the steamer instead and make an aluminum wrapped version of the chicken because I want this to be stored in the freezer for a long period.
