Have you ever watched the show Shark Tank? If not, it is a show where inventors or people with new businesses come in front of rich investors to try to get them to invest. We were watching a couple of weeks ago and there was this couple on that were trying to get the investors to invest in their cinnamon roll business. They made all these delicious types of cinnamon rolls. The one that sparked my interest the most were these coffee cinnamon rolls with cookie dough on top. They looked fantastic.
I was then craving some combination of cookie dough and cinnamon rolls. I decided the next day to make my own version. As you know if you read this blog, I like things easy, I especially don’t like working with yeast because I am impatient and it takes so long. I found a cinnamon roll recipe that can be made up quickly without yeast. Instead of doing something with a cookie dough topping, I just decided to stuff the cookie dough in the cinnamon rolls so that when the rolls baked there would be chocolate chip cookies inside of them.
These Chocolate Chip Cookie Cinnamon Rolls were delicious and everything that I imagined. Essentially they are cinnamon rolls stuffed with chocolate chip cookies. I mean you cannot get any better than that. The combination of two of my favorite foods was so good and I really loved the soft cinnamon roll with a cookie in every bite. Plus, this is a great excuse so that you can eat cookies for breakfast!
These cinnamon rolls were absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to make them again. Seriously they are cinnamon rolls stuffed with chocolate chip cookies and topped with vanilla frosting. The cinnamon rolls themselves are easy to make, since no yeast is involved. For the cookie dough I used premade chocolate chip cookie dough, but you can feel free to use your favorite cookie dough as well. For the frosting on top I just used premade vanilla frosting that I melted in the microwave. I hope you try these fantastic cinnamon rolls, my family cannot wait to have them again!
