Chocolate Peanut Butter Topped Donuts

My husband and I are both huge fans of donuts.  My husband says they are his favorite food and he even organizes a monthly donut get together for his co-workers.  We usually do not have donuts too much but will get them for special occasions.  On Valentine’s Day, my husband made me a really nice card with a picture of a delicious looking donut on it and the card read, “You are the glaze to my donut.”  I thought it was really sweet, but then I wanted donuts and he didn’t get me any.  He laughed at me and told me that his coworkers said that they would be pretty mad if there was no donuts with the card either.  So now that I wanted donuts, I decided to make some.
Two of my favorite flavors are peanut butter and chocolate, so I decided to have that combination be the topping for my donuts.  I had always made baked donuts but decided to try my hand at frying donuts.  Did you know that you can use Pillsbury biscuits and fry them to make donuts?  It is so easy and took really quick.  I just fried them on a pan in my stove, then let them cool and put the topping and candies on the donuts.  This was a super easy treat and very delicious too.
These Chocolate Peanut Butter Topped Donuts are delicious! They are made using Pillsbury Grands Biscuits that are fried.  I then mixed together chocolate frosting and peanut butter to top the donuts with.  Then I added Reese’s Pieces and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to the top as well.  These donuts were delicious and I love how easy they were to make.  We will definitely be making these donuts again!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Topped Donuts

Chocolate Peanut Butter Topped Donuts

  • 1 package Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
  • Canola Oil
  • 1/2 cup chocolate frosting
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped Mini Reese's
  • 1/8 cup Reese's Pieces

  1. In a large, heavy-bottomed skillet, fill the oil about a half of an inch high, then heat the oil. The oil is ready for frying when a couple of drops water added to the oil sizzle.
  2. Separate the biscuits. Fry each biscuit for about 1 minute on each side or until golden brown. Cool and dry the biscuits on paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl mix the chocolate frosting and peanut butter together. Spread the peanut butter chocolate mixture on top of each cooled donut. Then add the Mini Reese's and Reese's Pieces on top of the frosting of each donut.
