Crock Pot Apple Butter Barbecue Meatballs

These Crock Pot Apple Butter Barbecue Meatballs are coated with a combination of Musselman’s Apple Butter and barbecue sauce. They are such an easy and delicious appetizer!

For the big game, we always like to make a variety of appetizers.  I think its always nice to have less prep work and I really like using my crock pot to make appetizers.  This makes preparation so much easier and makes less work during the party. I don’t like to miss a second of the game, so I always like to have all of my appetizers done before hand.

When Musselman’s contacted me to make something for the big game using Musselman’s Apple Butter, I was not sure what I was going to make initially.  I had never made anything savory with apple butter before and have just made sweeter things.  I decided to make a savory appetizer using apple butter and knew that I wanted to make it easy to prepare.  I decided the Crock Pot would make it really easy and decided to make meatballs in the crock pot.  Meatballs are a great appetizer for any party, especially a football party.  I combined barbecue sauce and Musselman’s Apple Butter to make a delicious sauce for the meatballs.

These Crock Pot Apple Butter Barbecue Meatballs tasted delicious.  We all really loved them, especially my son, he devoured them.  They were so easy to make, just mix 3 ingredients in the crock pot and let it cook for 2-3 hours.  It really cannot get any easier.  They also tasted fantastic.  The combination of the apple butter and the barbecue sauce tasted great and went really well with the meatballs.  I really think that the apple butter mellowed out the tangyness of the barbecue sauce. It added a lighter flavor, a little bit of apple flavor, but did not overwhelm the meatballs.

This is really the perfect appetizer for any party.  It is so easy to make and makes getting ready for a party even easier.  We plan on serving these for the big game this weekend.  I love that they taste delicious and I can get them ready easily before the game.  My whole family recommends these and I hope that you enjoy them!
