Strawberry Cake Muddy Buddies

Your probably thinking, Alyssa, what is with the strawberry flavored dessert? Its fall, this is the time for apples and pumpkins, not strawberries.  Because October is breast cancer awareness month I wanted to make something pink in honor of my mother, a breast cancer survivor. Strawberry is one of my favorite flavors and I combined it with yummy muddy buddies, to make a fantastic treat.
Last year I shared Strawberry Cake Nutella Cinnamon Rolls and also shared my mother’s breast cancer story.  My mother’s sister was also diagnosed with breast cancer this year and luckily at this point the cancer has been removed.  Because a lot of people in my family have had breast cancer it is close to my heart and I think it is important to do something to honor it and those that have fought it and those that were not so lucky.
Even though Breast Cancer is not the #1 killer of woman, it’s actually heart disease, I still think breast cancer awareness is extremely important.  The reason that so many people are surviving breast cancer is because we are screening for it and we are catching it so early.
Thanks for listening! Please stop by the Susan G. Komen website and learn more about breast cancer and find a way to get involved!

As you probably know by now, muddy buddies are my favorite snack. First of all they are so delicious.  They can be made in so many flavors and also I love how easy they are to make.  I really liked these Strawberry Cake Muddy Buddies.  I made them with strawberry cake mix and I think that they do taste like strawberry cake.  The strawberry taste goes great with the white chocolate.  I also added some little pearl sprinkles, but those are totally optional.  I hope you enjoy this easy and delicious snack.
