S’mores Poke Cake

S’mores Poke Cake is an easy and delicious chocolate cake that is filled with chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker flavor.

National S’mores Day is this Saturday.  Because I love S’mores, I love making different S’mores flavored desserts.  I have been on a big Poke Cake kick lately.  I made a great one for the 4th of July.  I really love how poke cakes are so moist and that they are made using a boxed cake mix, so they aren’t too hard.  Plus, you can’t go wrong with sweetened condensed milk and whipped cream.
I decided to combine the great flavors of s’mores with a poke cake and make a S’mores Poke Cake. This cake would be great for National S’mores Day This cake was so delicious and moist.  I loved the flavor of the chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker combined with the chocolate cake.  The sweetened condensed milk and whipped cream also give this s’mores cake great flavor.
This cake would be great for summer or for anytime that you have a craving for a great cake and s’mores.  I will be definitely be making this moist and delicious cake again.  The moist and easy S’mores Poke Cake was one of my favorite cakes and was extremely delicious.  I hope that you enjoy it!
 
 
S’mores Poke Cake

S’mores Poke Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix + the ingredients on the back of the box.
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup hot fudge ice cream topping
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • 1/2 cup graham crackers, crushed
  • 1 container (8 ounces) Cool Whip
  • 3.4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional topping)
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional topping)
  • 1/2 cup graham crackers, crushed (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake according to the directions on the box.
  2. Once the cake is completely cooled, use a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly throughout the cake, making about 25-30 holes.
  3. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, trying to fill up the holes.
  4. Combine the hot fudge topping, the marshmallow fluff, and the crushed graham crackers in a medium sized bowl. Microwave the combined toppings for 15 seconds or until melted together and warm.
  5. Spread the marshmallow fluff and hot fudge topping on top of the cake, trying to get some in the holes. Then spread the Cool Whip on top.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. When ready to serve if desired, sprinkle the mini chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers on top. This makes about 12 large pieces.
