Honey Vanilla Cupcakes #disneywinnie

As a kid I loved Winnie the Pooh and one of my favorite movies was Disney’s “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.”  I used to watch the movies all the time, had Winnie the Pooh stuffed animals, and read the original Winnie the Pooh books. My favorite characters were Winnie the Pooh and Piglet.
I was excited to hear that “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” was going to be released in a BluRay-DVD Combo pack.  I really liked the idea that I could share a movie that I loved as a child with my 2 year old son.  I love that the movie promotes friendship all while promoting having adventures and using your imagination.
We got to preview a copy of the “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.”  As we watched it, I could remember all of the stories that I loved as a kid.  My son was glued to the movie and could not take his eyes off of it.  He was so entranced by Winnie the Pooh and the great storyline and characters.  He was talking about Winnie the Pooh for days afterward and loved singing the Winnie the Pooh song.  He laughed so hard when Winnie the Pooh was exercising and his seams split.
I decided to make Honey Vanilla Cupcakes with a Honey Buttercream Frosting to go along with “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.”  My son and I talked about how Winnie the Pooh’s favorite food was honey and how he was always trying to get more honey.  We then made and ate these delicious Honey Vanilla Cupcakes.  I added little bees to the top to go with the scene of the movie where Winnie the Pooh tries to get the honey from the bee hive and ends up getting chased by a lot of bees.
These Honey Vanilla Cupcakes were so delicious.  The honey made the cupcakes so moist and I really loved the addition of the honey and vanilla to the cupcake.  I also really loved the addition of the honey to the buttercream frosting. It added a light sweetness to the frosting that goes great with the cupcakes.
I made the cupcakes using a boxed cake and ready made frosting to make the cupcakes easier.  The nice thing about it being so easy was that my son was able to help me make the cupcake. Feel free to use your own cake recipe or frosting recipe and just add the honey This is a great treat to have while watching “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.” It also would be great for any Winnie the Pooh party or would be great to have anytime!
