Cream Cheese, Salsa, and Crab Dip

Cream Cheese, Salsa, and Crab Dip  is a fantastic and easy to make appetizer that is great for any party or for watching sports.

Almost every time we go over to my in-laws house they make a dip or appetizer.  By far our favorite one is Cream Cheese, Salsa, and Crab Dip.  This is my mother-in-law’s recipe and she brings it everytime she needs to bring a dip somewhere.
I know that your probably thinking that Cream Cheese, Salsa, and Crab don’t go together.  That’s exactly what I thought when my husband first told me about his mother’s dip. He told me that I needed to try it and that it was his favorite dip, but I was highly doubtful.  Boy was my husband right!
The combinations of cream cheese, salsa, and crab in this easy dip taste fantastic together.  This dip is usually devoured right away and we always have it at every family party.  It also is a great dip to eat while watching a football game and we plan on making it to watch the first Eagles game in a couple of weeks.
While this dip may seem like a weird combination of flavors, trust me, this is one of the tastiest dips.  The cream cheese, salsa, and crab go together really well and I love that there is some of each flavor in every bite.  Plus, this dip is extremely easy to make, only has three ingredients, and can be made in a matter of minutes. We usually serve it with Tostitos Scoops or with Wheat Thins.  I hope that you try this easy and delicious dip, it is one of our favorite family recipes.
Cream Cheese, Salsa, and Crab Dip

Cream Cheese, Salsa, and Crab Dip

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 can (6 ounces) lump crab meat, drained

  1. Spread the cream cheese evenly on the bottom of a 9x9 pie dish or similar sized platter.
  2. Spread the salsa evenly on top of the cream cheese making sure to cover all of the cream cheese.
  3. Sprinkle the lump crab meat on top of the salsa. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.

You can use more or less than 1 cup of salsa. We like enough salsa so that the cream cheese is covered with salsa.

We eat this with Tostitos Scoops or Wheat Thins, but any tortilla chip or cracker would work.
