Patriotic Cheesecake Pretzel Bites

When holidays come around I really love making easy holiday themed foods.  These Patriotic Cheesecake Pretzel Bites are a great treat for the 4th of July.  They are no-bake cheesecake that are stuffed in a pretzel and partially covered with white chocolate.  I found this great idea from Shugary Sweets and adapted it for the 4th of July.
 I used Duncan Hines Frosting Creations to flavor the cheesecake.  I used the Cotton Candy and Bubble Gum flavors.  These flavors are so fun for kids, but they are sweet.  If you rather have a traditional cheesecake flavor you can also use berry blue or strawberry flavored jello.
I think that these pretzel bites are so cute and are the perfect snack for your 4th of July or red, white, and blue party.  I can’t wait to make these great and easy cheesecake pretzel bites for the 4th.  I hope you enjoy these great pretzel bites!

(Recipe adapted from Shugary Sweets)
Patriotic Cheesecake Pretzel Bites

Patriotic Cheesecake Pretzel Bites

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon bubble gum Duncan Hines Frosting Creations mix (or 1 teaspoon strawberry Jello)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cotton candy Duncan Hines Frosting Creations mix (or 1 teaspoon berry blue Jello)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • Mini Pretzel Twists
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips, melted
  • Red, White, and Blue sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. In one bowl add half of the cream cheese, bubble gum mix, and 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar and beat until combined into a dough.
  2. In another bowl add the other half of the cream cheese, cotton candy mix, and the rest of the powdered sugar and beat until combined into a dough.
  3. Roll the red and blue dough into one inch balls and press each ball between two pretzels. Half of the pretzels should be made with the red dough and half with the blue dough. If the dough is too soft to work with, refrigerate it for about 15-30 minutes before pressing between the pretzels.
  4. Once the pretzels are assembled, refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Then dip half of each pretzel into the melted white chocolate and then add the sprinkles on top. Allow the chocolate to set (you can refrigerate if you want) and store in an airtight container.

    Are you supposed to put half the cream cheese in one bowl and the other half in another? All it says is add cream cheese in a bowl with cotton candy mix and in another bowl add cream cheese with bubblegum mix.

    • Sorry about that, you are supposed to put half the cream cheese in one bowl and the other half in the other bowl. I will update the recipe to reflect that. Thanks!

      Okay, just wanted to make sure I didn’t mess them up! Also have you tried them with food coloring instead of the jello or frosting mix in?

    • I haven’t tried them with food coloring. I’m sure that it would work just as well, it would just taste like regular flavored cheesecake.
