One of my favorite things about fall is apple cider.  My husband and I get really excited when we see the first             time the store has apple cider, its a sign to us that fall is here.  We go to an apple festival every fall where they make fresh apple cider, which is one of my favorite parts of the fall.   I decided to make apple cider cookies as a great fall treat.
These cookies were really easy to make and tasted delicious.  They tasted just like apple cider!  I made them using a sugar cookie mix and added some apple cider drink mix.  You can also use your favorite sugar cookie recipe instead of using the sugar cookie mix.  These cookies were really good with caramel on top.  So grab a glass of apple cider and enjoy one of these cookies!

Apple Cider Cookies

1 pouch (17.5 ounces) sugar cookie mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 tablespoon water
1 egg
2 tablespoons of apple cider powdered drink mix
Caramel sauce
1.  Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2.  Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl.  Roll the dough into rounded teaspoonfuls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.  Cool the cookies then drizzle caramel sauce on top.

*If using your favorite sugar cookie recipe, just add the apple cider powdered drink mix and top with caramel sauce when done.

  1. Yum! I can’t wait to try these :)

  2. I’m definitely pinning this recipe to my Sweet Tooth board. I wonder if I could adapt my Snickerdoodle recipe to make Apple Cider Snickerdoodles.

We’d love for you to consider sharing your posts on our blog each week by linking up to our Finished Friday blog party.

    • Oh yum Apple Cider Snickerdoodles sound really good. You could try adding some of the apple cider mix to your recipe and see if it works out. I’m sure it would probably work. Thanks for inviting me to the party, I’ll make sure to stop by!

  7. Oh man, I am going to HAVE to make these! Hubby and I are nuts about apple cider. So much so that we usually buy and freeze some to have throughout the winter and spring. This year though, the crazy Michigan weather means that the fresh local cider we love is going for $8.50 a gallon!

Maybe these will help tie us over…
