Chocolate Chip Cookie Bark

This week I am sharing recipes that I made for son’s first birthday party.  His party was had a puppy theme.  I already shared the Biscoff Puppy Chow that I made and now I will be sharing this Chocolate Chip Cookie Bark.
Since Aaron’s party was a puppy party, I figured that I had to make bark.  I had never made bark before, but let me tell you it is so easy! This is a great treat to make when you need a quick dessert to bring somewhere.  All you have to do is melt the chocolate, mix in the cookies, and then freeze for 10 minutes to harden the chocolate.
This bark was so delicious! I really loved the chocolate chip cookie pieces that were in it.  I just used store bought chocolate chip cookies and broke them up, but you could also use leftover homemade chocolate chip cookies.  Since it was hot out the day of Aaron’s party, the bark melted a little bit, but I think that made it even better. It was softened chocolate with the harder chocolate chip cookie pieces.  Yum!! I am seriously drooling right now and I think I need to go make some more!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Bark

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
10 chocolate chip cookies
1. Break the chocolate chip cookies into pieces and stir into the melted chocolate.
2.  Spread the melted chocolate and cookie mixture evenly onto a cookie sheet covered with wax paper.
3.  Freeze for about 10 minutes or refrigerate for an hour or until the bark is set.
4.  Once the bark is set, break it into pieces.
