Smokehouse Chicken

This chicken was so good!!! It is a great dinner for Father’s Day.  My husband and I both though this chicken was fantastic.  The chicken was topped with bacon, mushrooms, barbecue sauce, and cheddar cheese.  My husband doesn’t like mushrooms, so we didn’t put mushrooms on his piece of chicken.  This chicken is nice, because you can customize what you want on your piece of chicken.
This is a great meal for summer and is a great hearty meal that would be great to serve for your father or husband for Father’s day.  I loved all the flavors on and the chicken and we will definitely be making this again! I hope you try it!
Smokehouse Chicken
(Recipe adapted from Plain Chicken)
6 chicken breasts
1 bottle garlic and herb marinade
6 slices bacon, cooked
1 can sliced mushrooms
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 tablespoons of barbecue sauce
1.  Marinate the chicken in the garlic and herb marinade for at least 30 minutes.
2.  Grill the chicken for 15 minutes or until done.
3.  Preheat the broiler on your oven.  Place the cooked chicken on a baking sheet.  Spread 1 tablespoon of barbecue sauce on each piece of chicken.  Top with the one slice of bacon, mushrooms, and shredded cheese.  Broil until the cheese is melted.
