I’m not the biggest fan of plain guacamole, but I had salsa guacamole at a party and I had to have it again.  This might not be the best looking dip, but it tastes great.  The salsa mixed with the guacamole gives more flavor to the guacamole. This dip is perfect for a party and is really easy to make.

Salsa Guacamole
(Recipe adapted from Taste of Home)

6 small ripe avocados, halved and pitted
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 cups salsa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1.  Scoop out the meat of the avocado and mash the avocado in a medium sized bowl with the lemon juice.  Stir in the salsa, salt, and garlic powder.  Serve with tortilla chips.

  3. This is how I’ve always made guacamole, only I add a little fresh cracked pepper too. But you are right it totally beats plain guacamole.
