It is Chocolate Strawberry week and this breakfast is perfect for a romantic Valentine’s Day breakfast. When I saw this on Pinterest, I knew I had to try it. It combines french toast and nutella with a strawberry maple syrup on top. It was really good and really easy to make. This is also a great way to use any leftover bread before it goes bad.
This is a great tasty breakfast to make for your love to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I will be making this breakfast again!!
Nutella Stuffed French Toast with Strawberry Maple Syrup
(Recipe adapted from Babble)
Nutella Stuffed French Toast
Sliced bread (I used Italian bread, but another type of bread would work)
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1. Whisk the eggs, heavy whipping cream, and vanilla in a large bowl.
2. Spread nutella on the bread to make a sandwich. Dip the sandwich in the egg mixture and coat completely on both sides. Sprinkle the cinnamon on both sides of the sandwich.
3. Cook the sandwich on a large greased skillet over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until browned.
Strawberry Maple Syrup
1 cup frozen strawberries (can also use fresh strawberries)
1/4 cup maple syrup
1. Combine the frozen strawberries and maple syrup and microwave for about 2 minutes or until the strawberries are mushy.
Serve the strawberry maple syrup over the nutella stuffed french toast and enjoy!
